Currently we are busy raising our baby daughter, Josie Sue Ricker, who was born May 21st, 2008. I still run "By Request" Entertainment and work at the corporate office for K&M Tire.

As the new principal of St. John’s High School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the beginning of an innovative and exciting school year. The opening of this school year brings with it the promise of new beginnings, in faith, academics, and friendship. Educating students since 1913, St. John’s High School is a place rich in tradition and heavily invested in faith and family. Ours is a nurturing, supportive environment that thrives from the contributions of all of its members, past and present. With the help of faculty, staff, and parents, St. John’s is a place where adolescents can grow to become productive and mindful young adults.

I am thrilled to now have the opportunity to return to my alma mater and continue my career in education. I believe that St. John’s can continue to grow as a catholic and academic institution within our own community and the ever-expanding technological world. I look forward to continuing to build St. John’s to the next level scholastically, through the use of technology, the expansion of college preparatory coursework and course offerings, and the challenging expectations set by our staff.

I was very fortunate to have parents that strived to guarantee that I receive a Catholic Education, and as a result made great sacrifices to ensure my success. The opportunity to attend St. John’s from Kindergarten until Graduation, having had wonderful faculty and staff, has allowed me the chance to achieve my goal of becoming an educator. My experiences while attending St. John’s have forever shaped my morals, drive, and behavior, and as a result I hope to pass along these valuable beliefs to the future Alumni. These same values are what allowed me to succeed in my education past St. John, at Bowling Green State University and the University of Dayton. My experiences at St. John also guided me through the eight years I was employed at Vantage Career Center as a Teacher and Dean of Students. The fond memories of academics, athletics, school lunches, and uniforms
remind me each day of the awesome responsibility and opportunity that has been bestowed upon me to continue the tradition of excellence, from those who have, are, and will go through the halls of St. John’s.

It is an honor to represent the St. John community and alumni, and I look forward to working together with you to continue to take St. John’s to the forefront of faith and education. I recognize the significance of the values St. John’s instilled within me when I attended, and I am eager to help the staff and students of St. John’s experience the tenets it has to offer.

God Bless,

Adam Lee Class of ‘99
