Christmas Traditions Around the World
On December 14-19 Mrs. Ledyard’s 8th grade students presented Christmas Traditions Around the World in her classroom. They became "teachers" during their respective English class period. They focused on a country that they have selected and their traditional Christmas customs. The students made a formal presentation orally and visually, as well as completing a writing piece about the country itself. They have learned about Christmas traditions in Canada, Ireland, Germany, Columbia . . . 28 countries in all. The students brought in delicacies from around the world made right here in Delphos, Ohio. Some customs include midnight Mass , dances (pictured), meals, etc.
