At St. John's our goal is to provide students with the opportunity for a quality education to prepare them for life as they enter into adulthood. With support, we are blessed to offer financial assistance for eligible familes/students who otherwise are unable to attend St. John's. St. John’s the Evangelist Parish offers many financial support options to those interested in joining our Blue Jay Family. The following are a number of opportunities for your family, contact our Parish Business Office at 419-695-4050 with any questions!
Blue Jay Opportunity Grant
Financial aid opportunities are available to qualifying families. Up to $3,375.00 in Tuition support is available through the St. John the Evangelist Parish.
Transfer Advantage Program
Any public, private, or charter school student (1st – 12th grade) who transfers, are eligible to receive a $1,250.00 Grant. This grant is divided over the first three years ($750.00 year one and $250.00 year two & three).
St John’s Preschool Attendance Scholarship
Any qualifying student that has been enrolled in St. John the Evangelist Preschool for at least one year is eligible for a $250.00 tuition scholarship to attend Delphos St. John’s Kindergarten or Early Bird Class. Scholarship is good for the students first year attending St. John’s School.
Tuition Assistance Fund
Through the generosity of parishioners and others who have made bequests to St. John's, there is financial assistance for those who can not afford tuition. These funds are available to St. John the Evangelist parishioners who qualify based on financial need. Those seeking aid must complete a Student Aid Form by June 30th of the same school year for which the aid is being requested. To learn more contact the Parish Business office at 419-695-4050.
EdChoice ScholarshipsThe Educational Choice (EdChoice) Scholarship Program offers students in grades K – 12 the chance to attend a private school for little or no cost. Students from lower-rated (designated) public schools qualify for these scholarships.
The EdChoice Expansion Program
is an income-based program. It offers private school scholarships to students whose families have a lower income.
The Traditional EdChoice Scholarship amount is $4650 for grades K – 8 and $6000 for grades 9-12. This scholarship is available to all students that live inside a EdChoice Qualifying School District.

Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund (NOSF)
Students who attend St. John’s in grades K-8 are eligible based on family size and income, with a maximum scholarship of $1,500.00 per child. Please click this sectional heading to vist the NOSF website to learn more.
Anyone interested in a Catholic education and for those of you already investing in a Catholic education… The tax law expanded the use of 529 Plans, which offer tax-advantaged investments to pay for qualified education expenses to include private-school tuition from elementary through high school.
Earn tuition credit with everyday purchases. Earn money to use for tuition for every dollar spent on items such as gasoline, groceries, home supplies and much more. Visit the Parish Ministry Center to learn more.
**For those who qualify, Parish Grants and/or Scholarships are available to those who are involved and participate in Parish fundraising activities that occur throughout the year**
