A Letter from Our Pastor/Superintendent

Rev. Dennis G. Walsh
Pastor/Superintendent

St. John the Evangelist Catholic School is so honored that you would consider our school as the potential educational choice for your family.  Making a decision about the best school for your child is one of the most important choices that a parent makes.  Every parent wants the best for their children.  We believe that our school offers a wonderful opportunity for a well-rounded and values-based education.  We hope that as you learn more about our educational program it will help make your decision easier.

We have over 100 years of experience and tradition which places our school on a very firm foundation. We have graduated thousands of graduates over the years who  have taken their place in  every level of leadership in our local community and beyond.

We are proud of our Catholic tradition.  While many schools do an effective job at education, we believe that our school has a different philosophy of education.  First, we believe that education that is rooted in Christ and a knowledge of the faith provides a broader vision to our students.  It gives them a Catholic imagination where the world is open to new possibilities.  Second, we believe that by our baptism we are called to service in the world.  We are proud that many of our students are actively involved in all areas of service in our parish and    community.  It allows them to accept positions of leadership in the future.  Third, we believe that placing higher expectations on our students allows them to rise to those expectations.  Our students grow to become strong and self-confident young men and women.

We have a very committed faculty and staff who are all committed to the education of your children.  We work very hard to provide an environment where your children will thrive in their education.

We hope that you would be interested in meeting with us to answer any of your questions.  We look forward to hearing from you.

In Christ,
Father Dennis

Hello!  Welcome to Campus Ministry!

Campus Ministry here at Delphos St. John's includes scheduling various ministries at church, such as greeters, servers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion as well as train new members of these ministries.

The role of campus ministry is to help plan the many Masses that our students are involved with during the week.  Our elementary students - EB-6 - attend mass every Thursday Morning at 8:00 a.m. Junior High and High School attend mass on Friday's at 8:00 a.m.

Our campus ministry team works with our 8th graders to prepare for Confirmation and our 2nd graders to prepare for First Holy Communion.  These sacraments are an extremely important part of a young person's journey to become a member of the Catholic Church, as well as forming a relationship with Jesus Christ!

See you at church!
