EdChoice Scholarships are available to ALL incoming private school K-12 students, based on a formula considering a family's number in household and gross annual income.
As part of the State of Ohio budget, scholarship eligibility includes those whose income is 450% of the federal poverty level or less receiving full state tuition scholarships, while families above this threshold will receive varying levels of assistance based on a sliding scale. This allows for many of our current families to be eligible for a full scholarship, while others eligible for at least a partial.

The following letter was via mail to all families for the 2023-24 school year. Please review EdChoice Parent Letter FINAL.docx.pdf and let us know if you have any questions. If you did not receive a letter, please notify your respective school office.
SPECIAL NOTE: For the 2023-24 school year, all applications are to be completed and returned to the Elementary Office by August 1, 2023. We are asking ALL of our families to submit an application, as all will receive a scholarship at some level, regardless of household income level.
Eligibility and Scholarship Levels:
The following chart was included with the letter and demonstrates the eligibility and scholarship levels.
Three categories of people within our DSJ Family: (also mentioned in the letter)
1. Those who have already applied for an EdChoice Scholarship for the 2023-24 school year -
> You do NOT need to fill out another Request Form. Your application is already being processed.
2. Those who have NOT applied for an EdChoice Scholarship, but HAVE an existing OH|ID Account -
> You will need to follow these steps:
1) Log into your OH/ID account.
2) Go to My Apps.
3) Click the "Department of Education Application Request" App.
4) There is a drop-down box next to "Application", select and request, "Income Verification". In the "Reason" box, type "Applying for Ed Choice".
5) Return to My Apps.
6) Scroll and find the "Income Verification" App and click "Open App".
7) Next click "Go to Income Verification" for the 2023-2024 School Year.
8) After all household members and household income are entered, income documentation must be uploaded for all income types that have been entered.
9) At the Household Income section, click the upload button for each row added. It is the first green button displaying a picture of a document located to the right of each row of household income that needs to be entered. A dialogue box will open on the left-hand side of the screen.
