ADVANCED PLACEMENT®
Advanced Placement ® is a program created by the College Board that gives high school students the chance to take college-level work. It is through taking AP Exams, students have the opportunity to earn college credit and placement.
St. John’s currently offers (8) AP classes:
AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, AP Computer Science A, AP English Language & Composition, AP English Literature & Composition, AP Psychology, AP Spanish Language, AP Statistics
Families are encouraged to review the Course Guide and meet with Mrs. Ross to review AP prerequisites.
COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS
College Credit Plus (CCP) is Ohio’s dual enrollment program that provides students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking courses from Ohio colleges or universities.
CCP is available for nonpublic school families! Tuition is free if students take classes at a public college.

(A School Counseling Session will be scheduled prior to the College Term start date)
STEP 2: Apply to the College
Contact or check the websites of participating colleges in our area. Some of our local CCP schools include Rhodes State College and OSU-Lima which may require a minimum high school GPA and/or standardized test scores.
Apply to the college/s of your choice. Once admitted to a college under CCP, the college will send the student an admission letter. Upload this admission letter to your CCP Funding Application.
STEP 3: Submit your CCP Funding Application – The deadline to apply for CCP funds is April 1.

STEP 4: Receive your Award Letter & Register for College Classes
Funding Award Letters within the CCP Funding Application will be in the OH ID Account before May 5
Once the Award Letter is received, students may register for college courses
