It is a great blessing to work/minister at St. John's Elementary School every day, as we have the opportunity to partner with parents in the foundation of their children's Faith, Academic and Social Development. Our Mission is to encourage all to learn and live a Christ-centered life. We pray together multiple times throughout every school day, as well as work to focus our curriculum around becoming good Christians. Students have an opportunity to participate in Junior Catholic Daughters of America and Junior Catholic Sons of America in Grades 2-6 as opportunities to practice their faith together and learn to serve others as a Community of Believers. Students also have many opportunities to serve others during the school day by taking on class service projects and participating in school-wide service projects on an ongoing basis. Students often raised money for missions throughout the world. Students in Grade K-6 celebrate Mass together every Thursday morning, and even have the opportunity to participate in K-12 Liturgies on multiple occasions during the school year.
We also challenge each student to do his/her best in all academic areas in order to prepare them to be successful Junior High and High School Students. We have the unique opportunity of being a K-12 School, so our students have a chance to interact and learn from the older students at various points in the school year as well. Students of the Elementary School, Grades K-6, are given the individual opportunity to supplement their every day Math and Reading by using the DreamBox Learning Math program and Renaissance Learning Accelerated Reader and STAR Reading Assessment program. Each student has a one to one device during the school day in order to maximize their learning time while at school. Students also have the opportunity in Fifth and Sixth Grade to participate in a Lego Robotics Course and/or a Quiz Bowl Team as an extra academic challenge.
Thank you for choosing Delphos St. John's. If you are visiting our Website and become interested in sending your child to a great Catholic School, please call to set up a time to shadow and/or visit.
